ProtectED Reflections – University security, after Covid
On Thursday 01 April 2021 at 11.00 GMT, we held our first ProtectED Reflections webinar of 2021, University security, after Covid - The lasting impact of lockdown on the delivery and perception of university security — Positive lessons and challenges for a student service
We were very pleased to welcome our speakers for this event:
Oliver Curran – Deputy Security Manager at UCL, London Regional Chair at AUCSO and Board Member at Security Commonwealth
William McMahon – Head of Security at University of Central Lancashire
The event discussed: how they have had to adapt their normal security processes and create new ones to ensure students, staff and the campus has remained safe throughout lockdown and how this has challenged them to create new processes for the future.
The recording of this event can now be viewed on the ProtectED YouTube channel (see above). If you have any questions about this event or the issues discussed, please contact Lisa Ravenscroft at l.ravenscroft@protect-ed.org.
