All Bets Are Off – Gambling Addiction Recovery Podcast

We recently held a ProtectED Reflections event, Student Financial Wellbeing – Good practice in enabling student financial resilience and dealing with gambling issues, featuring Gamcare. We wanted to give you some further information on gambling issues including first hand accounts of how gambling has disrupted students lives.

In April the 'All Bets Are Off' podcast was created as a gambling addiction recovery podcast. They cover a large range of gambling support and personal experiences during their discussions, everything from recovery stories to wanting positive change and re-form.

We thought the Gambling Harm Among The Student Population episode, would be of great interest. This podcast edition features Bray Ash, a recovering gambling addict who once gambled his whole student loan within 24 hours. In the second part of the show they welcome the founder of Deal Me Out, Jordan Lea. where they talk about the tactics of land-based casinos and how they attempt to snare university students.
