BBC NEWS - The international students staying in the UK for Christmas

For many people the new Covid variant has meant they have had to change their travel plans over the Christmas break. But for a lot of students this will mean they will need to stay in the UK and not travel back to their families.

For many of them this will be the first Christmas on their own, hopefully their universities will support them. We require our Founder Member universities to have support in place over the break, everything from mental health services to social events should still be provided, to ensure the safety and support of students.
