Blackbullion - Student Money & Wellbeing 2023 Report

I had the privilege of attending the virtual launch of the Student Money & Wellbeing 2023 report last week, which is the annual Blackbullion research white paper about the impact of financial concerns on students’ mental health, physical health and the university experience.

Following a Censuswide survey completed by a 1,000 university students across the UK, the 2023 report delves into changes to students’ financial wellbeing over the past year and the impact that the cost of living crisis and money worries are having.

What’s covered?

The key findings in this free, downloadable report are grouped into seven areas:

  1. What is the reality of students’ finances in 2023?

  2. How has the cost of living crisis compromised financial support from parent(s)/guardian(s) and impacted relationships?

  3. How is the cost of living crisis impacting students’ health and wellbeing?

  4. What are students having to do to cope with the rising cost of living?

  5. To what extent are students working to fund their studies?

  6. How is the cost of living crisis impacting students’ academic attainment?

  7. How do students feel about their financial future?

Who is the report for?

The report aims to help university and college support staff, leadership, and the higher education community as a whole to better understand the very real impact that finances have across the entire student experience on a day-to-day basis and how the picture has changed in just the last 12 months.

You can request a copy of the report here.
