ProtectED announces OCS Group UK as first 'Trusted Partner'

ProtectED CIC is proud to announce OCS Group UK Ltd, part of the OCS Group, a leading UK-headquartered global facilities management business, as the first ProtectED Trusted Partner organisation.

ProtectED is the pioneering scheme that aims to raise student safety, security and wellbeing standards across the UK higher education sector and is supported by other organisations committed to this goal.

OCS will support ProtectED in safeguarding the student experience, sharing insight and promoting improved practice.

ProtectED Director, Brian Nuttall said:

“I'm delighted to welcome OCS as a ProtectED Trusted Partner. This global organisation built on family values and a strong sense of community is an ideal partner for ProtectED and aligns well with our principles. We look forward to working alongside OCS in the development of ProtectED and in improving standards in the higher education sector and beyond.”

The need for ProtectED is rooted in the recognition that universities have a critical role to play in ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of their students — not only when on campus, but throughout their student experience. Through ProtectED Membership and Accreditation, ProtectED makes it easier for prospective students and their parents to identify those HE institutions committed to implementing good practice.

Throughout their 120 year history, OCS Group has been at the forefront of change within industry. As an international facilities management company, trusted by more than 20,000 customers around the globe, OCS Group provides more than 70 internationally accredited facilities management services, 24 hours a day. They also work with schools, colleges and universities around the world to create an environment that encourages learning and meets the needs of today's students.

Ian Nisbet, Managing Director Healthcare & Education OCS Group UK Ltd, said:

“We are delighted to announce our Trusted Partner status with ProtectED. The wellbeing, safety and security of students is at the forefront of our service delivery model and this partnership will allow OCS to align our policies, processes and delivery to an award-winning, nationally recognised accreditation scheme. We look forward to working closely with ProtectED to deliver tangible benefits to our current and future customers.”
