Supporting Women and Girls' Safety

The cases of Spiking seem to be growing, which is every security persons nightmare, and not just drinks there has also been a worrying spate of people being injected.

It is great to see the SIA are taking the threat seriously, they have contacted all their members to remind them of the policies they should follow and remind them that this is a big problem, that only seems to be escalating.

As part of the ProtectED Code of Practice we have a whole section headed Student Night Out, that outlines best practice in all aspects student safety and wellbeing from training security and bar staff how to help a student in need to building schemes such as Ask for Angela that support people who feel in danger.
