Last year Unite Students shared their findings from the Living Black at University report. The big stand out, seemed to be the lack of culturally relevant services in many UK cities, which contributed towards many Black students feeling like they didn’t belong at university.
This isn't acceptable, all students should feel happy at the university they have chosen. The findings showed that just 43% of Black students felt like they belonged at university compared to 61% of White students which is something all universities need to work on and improve. This article looks into what extra practical support can be given to black students, you can read the full article here.
