Universities UK – SUICIDE-SAFER UNIVERSITIES

At ProtectED, we welcome the new guidance by Universities UK and PAPYRUS (Prevention of Young Suicide's) on information sharing.

We have always advocated for a student centred whole university approach, to wellbeing, safety and security.

Knowing the right time to include and contact families, or selected contacts is essential to suicide prevention. Students as always should be at the centre of these decisions, having open conversations when this information is collected is important, so all students are aware of how it may be used.
